Drink of the Day: Mason Jar Sangrias

Wine, Sangria, Mason Jar, Sweet Alcohol
Mason Jar Sangria
Sangrias have always been the favorite of people of all ages. Most sangria recipes are pretty simple: wine + fruit (+ sometimes brandy or another spirit) + ice = pitcher of refreshment. Please, please, please take note of one thing: good sangria does not come out of a pre-mixed bottle. Ever. No matter what Boone's Farm tries to tell you. Just say no. All you need is a relatively inexpensive bottle of wine, some fruit and an adventurous spirit. Let us know if you have your own favorite blend!.
Simple Mason Jar Sangria

  • 1 bottle red Spanish table wine
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, then cooled)
  • Orange slices
  • Lemon Slices
  • Apple slices
  • 1/4 cup of raspberries

Mix all ingredients together and pour into mason jars and let stand for at least 6 hours in the refrigerator. Best if allowed to set for 24 hours.
